    Festival of Drifting Dreams IX
The Festival of Drifting Dreams has returned for the ninth time and comes with a new game, new rewards and more!

    Sentient Training Dummy
The sound of crashing tents and terrified attendees ring throughout the air. You grab your weapon and run with all the haste you can muster but stop dead in your tracks as a massive, well armed training dummy begins destroying everything around it. To the side you spot the familiar face of Bosso, his arms crossed over his chest and a satisfied expression resting upon his face.

He spots you and his smile widens, "I do so love the sound of success!" he begins walking away and you let out a heavy sigh. Weapon in hand you prepare yourself for what must be done. You'll have words with the gnome another time...
The new Sentient Training Dummy has arrived! Compete with other players through the Sentient Training Dummy Leaderboard for prizes!
    • This is an automatically summoned raid similar to a World or Event Raid. It has a timer and no health bar.
    • Has a pool of On Hit rewards (see below for content listing).
    • Utilizes Training Dummy Hits instead of Stamina, Energy or Honor.
    • Does not award Gold nor Experience since it doesn't require a standard resource (just like a Training Dummy)
    • Is automatically summoned when the Festival is and can be found within the Festival. Ends prior to the Festival itself ending.
    • Has a ranked Leaderboard for individual rewards (see below for content listing).
    • Has Community Leaderboards similar to select World Raids.
    • Rewards earned from the Sentient Training Dummy Leaderboards are permanent (ie: not removed between summons like a Gauntlet would be).
    • Rewards and rankings are separated by server.
    • Has the following races: Festival, Undead, Dragon, Construct

    Sentient Training Dummy Leaderboard Rewards

    Top 50% Potion Addict

Grimborin, The Worldshaper (Unique Main Hand)
    Attack: 9,000
    Defense: 0
Though none can say where such a fearsome artifact was first forged, it is clear that it is infused with powerful magics and craftsmanship that rivals the heavens themselves. A small inscription can be found on the handle which translates itself to the wielder’s native tongue upon inspection.

“When I appear, the world trembles.
When I swing, the winds weep.
When I strike, the land shudders.

    So sayeth Grimborin, The Worldshaper”
    • Shatter the World: 5% chance to deal 300,000 damage; Extra 5,000 damage for each unique Main Hand item owned; Increases critical hit chance by 3%; Extra 800,000 damage when you score a critical hit; Whenever an Off Hand slot item deals damage, Grimborin, The Worldshaper repeats that damage

Tactics of the Sentient I and Tactics of the Sentient II (Unique Collection Items)
    • Owning this item provides a 25% boost to all legions

    Potion Addict (Familiar)
Potions are splendid concoctions, and you've imbibed a good number yourself during your adventures. They make you faster, tougher, deadlier, and able to withstand the rigors and fatigue of a warrior's life. However, not everyone can handle their alchemical elixirs. Some become addicted -- and spend their nights robbing passersby or selling off their arms and armor so they can afford their next drink.

In an effort to warn young adventurers about the dangers of potion addiction, a group of concerned aristocrats commissioned this fellow from Bosso Twinklefingers. They were sure his pathetic state would serve as a cautionary example. Alas, this hasn't turned out to be the case.

Many impressionable youngsters have taken to drinking their way through a sack of potions, then sitting around and giggling at their quirky new companion.
Community Rewards for Sentient Training Dummy
There are 6 tiers of Community Rewards integrated into this raid.
Each tier has both a Community Goal and a Personal Goal.
You must reach the Personal Goal in order to receive the rewards, even if the Community has reached its top goal.
Rewards will be cumulative (ie: if you reach Tier 3, you will receive rewards for Tiers 1-3).
The Community Reward in-game tracking system will update once an hour.
Tier Community Goal Personal Goal Rewards
    1 1,000,000,000,000 4,000,000,000 Kasan Token x1, Festival Tickets x20

    Training Dummy Updates
Ranks 22 and 23 have had additional rewards added!
    • Rank 22 - Pitchfork Token x2
    • Rank 23 - Disintegrate

    Disintegrate (Magic)
"One must wonder at the fundamental nature of matter. Of the cosmos themselves. Magic is as keen a tool as can be imagined, and yet when I have used the arcane forces to pull substances apart into ever smaller constituents there seems always to be finer elements making them up. Down and down, into what? Animate, inanimate, always the same. Of these particulates which compose us I can find no fundament." -- Faustus
    • Attacks by any raid member have a 9% chance to deal 300% damage; Extra 200% damage for each of the following owned: Volcanic Enigma, Celestial Enigma and High Seas Enigma; Extra 400% damage against Festival raids

    Vortex Updates
New items have been added to the Vortex!
    • Red Eternal Dawn Coin
    • Uncle Shamshir
    • Sic Semper Tyrannis

Uncle Shamshir (General - Human, Melee, Agility)
The character of Uncle Shamshir represents the band of Hazachi mercenaries who helped battle Creon's forces. Playing Shamshir is something of a point of pride, since the role's meant to go to the best swordsman out of all those who apply for it.

Shamshir delights revelers by performing feats of prowess with his eponymous weapon. For example, he'll ask children to throw pieces of meat, impale each chunk on his sword, and cook them over a fire.
    Attack: 3,100
    Defense: 1,500
    • I Want You (to Die)!: 15% chance to deal 200,000 damage; Extra 10,000 damage for each unique piece of Tyrant's Downfall set owned; Extra 15% damage against Festival raids; Gains 75 Attack and Defense for each Tyrant's Downfall Reveler in the active legion; Provides a 75% Legion Special Power Bonus while in the Sic Semper Tyrannis legion

    Sic Semper Tyrannis (Legion)
"Tyrannize this!" -- A favorite taunt of drunken revelers, which men usually accompany with the lewd grabbing of their crotches
    Generals: 27 - 3 Melee, 3 Agility, 1 Human, 20 Any
    Troops: 75 - 25 Agility, 15 Special (Role), 35 Any
    Armaments: 18 - 7 Relic, 6 Siege, 5 Support
    Legion Power Bonus: 300%
Legion Special Power Bonus: 900% vs Festival raids
    • Tyranny Topplers: 10% chance to deal 50,000 damage; Extra 5,000 damage for each Agility troop in the active legion; Extra 5,000 damage for each Tyrant's Downfall Reveler in the active legion; Extra 250,000 damage against Festival raids

    New Recipes
Ten new recipes have been added!

Tyrant's Downfall Set (Information is the same for each equipment piece)
    Attack: 3,000
    Defense: 4,000
    • Freedom!: 10% chance to deal 125,000 damage; Extra 10,000 damage for each unique piece of Tyrant's Downfall set owned; Extra 40% damage against Festival raids; Increases critical hit chance against Festival raids by 3%

    Tyrant's Downfall Steed (Mount)
    Attack: 3,990
    Defense: 5,320
    • Ride for Freedom: 20% chance to deal 300% damage; Extra 50% damage for each unique piece of Tyrant's Downfall set owned; Extra 1,500% damage against Festival raids; Increases critical hit chance against Festival raids by 6%

Tyrant's Downfall Reveler (Troop - Undead, Special, Agility)
It's not uncommon for vampires and other undead beings to claim they were among the freedom fighters who brought down Creon. Cynics point out that if all of them are telling the truth, that era's graveyards must have gone unused.
    Attack: 400
    Defense: 400
    • Gains 420 Attack and Defense if Uncle Shamshir is in the active legion; Gains 20 Attack and Defense for each Tyrant's Downfall Reveler in the active legion; Provides a 2% Legion Special Power Bonus in the Sic Semper Tyrannis legion

    Tundra Stalker's Boots (Boots)
    VII.
Laurian pulled her hunting knife free from its scabbard and as the bandit lunged she sidestepped and brought the hilt into his gut and heard the satisfying sound of air escaping lungs as the wind was knocked free of his body. She whirled around in his moment of weakness and delivered the killing blow through the back of the neck. There was no time to savor her victory, the final three combatants circled her, hurling insults as they closed in. She reached into her pocket and found the small object she sought; she blew the tiny whistle quickly and readied herself.

    Fixes, Known Issues, and Updates
    • Update - 5x20 now works with the auto hit toggle functionality just as 1x, 5x and 20x do!
    • Update - LEGION PAGE: Troops and Generals can now be sorted by "Any" Race, Role and Attribute. "All" is a new option which functions as "Any" used to, allowing you to sort by all Race, Role or Attribute.
    • Known Issue - Ascended Champion of the Eternal Dawn doesn't visually provide a Legion Power Bonus to The Eternal Dawn legion (works functionally just fine. And does both functional and visual increase for The Eternal Dawn II)

is that 75 troops total in the Sic Semper Tyrannis legion?

Katrina's powers and origin are mysterious, and her knowledge of events to come has led some to believe
that she has the gift of prophecy, and others to claim she hails from a far off and undiscovered land of oracles.

My very favorite thing about this week's update is: Festival
I liked it because: More chances to get magics and not bother on gambits
Maybe we could: Hard to say because I would like to win gambits... Maybe make them more appealing for people who won't get even the bottom tier, Saint Mouse?

This week I didn't care for: New weapon, New Training Dummy, Leaderboard
I didn't like it because: Great weapon for use by people who use crit, even better if the rely on crit for raids they can't hit hard enough due to lacking gear and/or legions for said raid type
Instead, let's: Please no leaderboards like this! I wanna be stronk too!

Thankfully you can fill them though. You cannot remove them without clearing all armaments, but you can manually fill them.

Can someone explain this to me? Specifically, look at the bottom. How does one achieve NEGATIVE damage?

That's not a new game. It's the same game separated into a different section.

    Welcome to Gauntlet lite!

I find myself in agreement with LordRaven, this is terrible. I like everything else about this patch, but adding in another p2w Gauntlet, even if you aren't calling it that, is rather repugnant.

"use your wallet to hit the new dummy WR!"

    absolutely horrible.
Did you see the EA tactic and assumed you had to do better?

won't turn on in camps for me
Shall we have a Dance of Death, or Doom?
Either way, it doesn't matter, because I can't dance anyway.

My very favorite thing about this week's update is: festival
I liked it because: chance to win gambit + dummies

This week I didn't care for: Sentient Training Dummy Leaderboard Rewards
I didn't like it because: 50% total legion boost that can only be gotten by getting 1-10 on leaderboard? c'mon I was ok with passives being on items, and top rank gets magic.. But legion boosts?

RNG loves me lately. Opened 1 12 pc mystery box on BF and got Utym. Open the 6 free chests this week and got TED 2 and 15 PC.
