The Tale of the Giant Dreadbloom

The Giant Dreadbloom was normally called the Violet. Then somebody went overboard and fed it 10,000 tons of Fertiliser. The end.

    THE BIRTH OF A WARLORD
The battle has finally ended. Proof for its anticlimax was the many bodies strewn across the green field, making it red with their blood, their pungent smell strengthened by the warm summer weather. Their eyes pointed upward towards the heaven, as if wondering about the purpose of this senseless slaughter or perhaps ushering their last silent prayers prior their final journey.
No war is different than any other; therefore people who couldn't fight weren't spared either - children, women and old folks. Even the chieftain's wife lay dead, her unborn child denied of chance to see the light of day. There weren't any victors, just bodies which were welcome only to the vultures to feast upon. Nevertheless, there seemed to be some life in this symphony of death - a young girl with a smile on her face, unaware or uncaring of her current surroundings. Her wavy red hear was woven with various meadow flowers whose scent as if it was just amplifying the decrescendo of the recent battle. Her pale body moved graciously across the field, her white feet barely touching the ground. Her attention was focused on the pregnant woman - she placed her ear on the woman's belly as if listening to a distant voice or perhaps sensing some semblance of life within.
Yes, it is him - she whispered softly. Her voice was like little chimes, tolling in the distance. Putting her hands on the woman's abdomen they began to change, getting older and in the end resembling the hands of a middle aged woman. The innocence and carelessness on her face were now replaced with expression of compassion and wisdom, while her hair gained the color of an autumn leaf. Murmuring something inaudible she thrust her hands inside the stomach, pulling the baby out of the womb. Her face now in the gray visage of an old woman, resembling black marble, almost wholly covered with snow-white hair transformed again, devoid of any emotion. Her eyes, black and lifeless were looking at the child while wrinkled hands were holding it. The babe didn't cry but she, the goddess of Death will cry for him because HE, her son was born. Lifting up her head she unleashed a wail which could chill the very soul of any mortal, towards the red full moon, the only witness of this birth at the battlefield. Carnus was born.

Ok, I'm playing and posting for DotD, but my story potentially contains a spoiler for Clash. I assume I'd still need to use the spoiler tag, despite spoiling something in a different game, and that comes pretty dang early in it?
    (z2)
Also, would we just put the tag around the "spoiled" information, or around the whole story? - And how would that work if we submit it through an uploaded file or somesuch?

If you post the story text on the thread itself, please put the whole thing inside a spoiler tag. That's the neatest way of handling it.

If you link a Google doc or something instead, just note that there are spoilers in the post containing the link - so that people are aware of it.

Just a question. If we make a story and we add some but we still stick to the real lore of the selected character is it still counted? Its like untold story. I might have done a bad story.

    Summer Story - DOTD - ign:Atlas - Armorgames - lvl 697

    A Gnome Behind Enemy Lines

She hit the ground with a somersault. The loud grind of a steel arrow on hand crafted armor screeches through the air. "Phew" she thinks to herself, as she runs her hand down the long parchment scroll fastened to her back. She has time for one last thought, "The plans are undamaged" as another barrage of arrows lands a few feet from her side. Fontella knew she had to get the plans back home, for the good of her people. She takes off at a run, the forest should hide her escape. The air is filled with the sound of arrows and heavy orc stomping. Why did she come alone?
Realizing an escape through the forest was a daunting one Fontella sheds her armor to gain some speed. She continues to run, unsure of her direction but convinced that this must be the right one, she continues for what feels like hours. The arrows grow more few, and the thunder of footsteps is replaced with broken branches and crushed leaves. For a gnome she was fast, but where are her comrades? Had they not thought to meet her? Where had she escaped to?

A clearing lie ahead, Fontella sees a darker sky here, trees lay on the ground, and the smell of rot fills the air. This was not home. Suddenly a cloud of birds shutter from the trees, the ground trembles, a voice cries out "You are not welcome here". Fontella collapses where she lands, breathing too heavy to respond her eyes meet with the eyes that the voice belongs to. The hulking mass that now stands in front of her, answers her question. This was Kalaxia's forest.

The tree seer beckons again, "You do not belong here". Finding her breath a shaking Fontella responds, "I was chased here, I have no quarrel with you great seer." He replies, "Well then who and why have they chased you, no one would trespass in this forest". She sees his intrigue, and quickly replies, "The orcs my lord. I stole their battle plans." Fontella had never seen a tree smile before but to her delight it occurred as she finished her sentence. Kalaxia looks at her with less anger and a strange expression that can be best described by amusement. "Orcs? I hate them. Always disturbing my forest. What was their battle plan?" Fontella unrolls the scroll, to keep the seers attention she begins to explain. "The orcs invade my homeland at the brink of fall each year. They steal our stocks so that we suffer through the cold without rations. This year will be different." Kalaxia replies by waving a branch in the opposite direction. "Move along then, I've heard stories of the great strategist Fontella and the changes she has made for the Gnome people. Kill an orc for me." Fontella rolls back up the half unrolled scroll. "Thank you great seer. I will. "Thankful for narrowly escaping a brawl with a massive tree seer Fontella begins a sprint in the direction gestured by her unexpected ally. The trees seem to recover as she runs passed them. Ahead through the roof of branches she sees light. Lots of light. Could this be home?
Our heroin erupts into the clearing, very few trees are around her now. Blue skies and a green meadow. Fontella follows the sky line with her eyes. A distant windmill marks her journey a success. She thinks to herself "Windmills will lead me home, life is strange for a strategist outside of castle walls."

*Thump**Thump**Thump* The sound of arrows into wet grass and dirt brings an end to her moment of clarity. A wolf carrying Durmak the famed orc hunter, can be seen rounding the edge of the forest in the distance. Fontella freezes, "Is this the end?" She dives behind a boulder at the foot of one of the only trees in the meadow, as a few more arrows fly past. She lay there a moment, realizing there is nowhere to go. Seconds pass, the wolf and his master are upon her. "Hand over the plans!" is shouted from what sounds like feet away. Fontella pauses, she then scurries to her feet. Durmak is at least twice her tiny gnome stature, and he hadn't left his armor in a forest. There was no way out of this one. With a whimper she hands him the scroll. His lips glisten with his victory as he outstretches his hand: "Kalaxia ended a few of my men, they had to turn back. Give me a good reason not to cause you to meet the same fate." She shakes her head then lowers it, glaring at the last bit of ground she would stand on. She had been away from home for the last month. Trekking her way into orc territory. All for this. For nothing. Durmak raises his bow and points the arrow tip at the top of her now arched head. He chuckles, "The gnomes are lost without you". His fingers move to release the arrow, suddenly the air is filled with the screech of a bird. Fontella thinks, "A bird? An eagle? No, the sound was familiar. A Gryphon."

Happlo Quicksteel falls seemingly from the sky onto the massive orc body of Durmak. The orc and his ready to fire bow drop to the ground. Happlo had lunged off gryphon back to save her. Durmak rolls over, wincing in pain, gnome armor isnt lightweight and he was the cushion for a gnome covered in it. He grasps for his sword, to have a gnome foot pin it down. Happlo find his shackles and key on the ground beside him, discarded by the force of his landing. He proceeds to shackle him to the tree, he chuckles "Let's see if your friends can find you here." Fontella quickly grabs the scroll, and fastens it to her back once more.

Fontella, eyes now watering, mumbles while staring at her savior "Thank you. You just saved all of us."

The judging process will probably take a while. I'd say at least a week.

Some Weak Discriminations on Tussao's Mysterious Journey

The Felpur, Tussao the Beast-King heard about a rumored mount.
They say, it's shy and does not want to be found.
It should be pure, but heavily armored, no human would be capable to hunt it, make it fit or keep it around.
It's rumored, that it's able to regenerate energy and that it's able to cure.
But for that, it demands fancy gold as a fee. Tussao knew, Lala would want this mount, this is for sure.

This rumor was first told in early summer in the Faedark Valley.
The Felpur traveled there to get some informations from the bandits with some gold or money.
There, a group of Bandit-Goblins made fun of him:
"A hairy Felpur is inferior, a whim of nature, it shouldn't earn any favor!"
They wanted to attack him, steel his money and sell his skin.
But this wasn't the end of his endeavor.
He and the animals around them were prepared to fight, but Bernard Bronzefist was in sight.
He rushed to them and shouted with a drunken voice:
"There you are, you bloody Goblins, the kins of Kobolds, I will have my fun with my revenge!"
    The Goblins doubted:
    "You will be crushed!"
Bernard subdued them and wanted to kill them, but the Felpur lectured:
"Let them have a choice. You discriminated me, but it will be forgiven, if you work for us."
But Bernard gestured with his axe:
"Why are you here? But we should kill them and let their kith and kin fear!"
    Tussao explained:
"I am searching for a mysterious mount. Don't rush. What if they bought you beer? So much, that you don't need to count?"
The Goblins adapted and they all accepted.
They traveled to Fallows with all the new recruits, where Tussao hoped for more clues,
because no animal nor any of those Goblins could tell him something specific about this mysterious being,
this uncertainty just raised a curious feeling.

In a bar, somewhere in the underground, Tussao asked around.
There was nothing new about the following informations, that he not already knew through his observations.
So he kept his hopes with his feet on the ground.
Bernard and the Bandit-Goblins drunk a lot, until Vork came into the bar and took away their huge main pot:
„Lala told me about your whereabouts! I knew you would end up drinking with the crowds!
You must have sober minds and steady swords!“
    Bernard laughed:
    ”I'm a general. When I drink, it's just ephemeral!"
    So the Goblins responded:
„Baldy, what do we need to care about your words?”
    Vork pondered:
“I am general Vork! Aren't you new recruits?”
    Though the Goblins responded:
“Yes, and we can be brutes!”
    Then Vork shouted:
"20 demerits!", he made the Goblins understand, then they corresponded.
    But they grumbled about it:
"First we subdue to an inferior Felpur, then we need to render demerits! Just give us some credits!"
    Vork adomished:
"Listen to what I say, this is my rule: Respect your authorities and don't be a fool.
Be good and don't discriminate your friends, because they seem to be different or have their own scents.
    By the way: 100 demerits!"
The whole summer, they searched for this particular mount, but it would not let itself be found.
    At the end Vork pondered:
"Let the animals know, that you search for this special mount.
Maybe it does not want to be found.
Let me remind you, you are the Beast-King, let it find you."

The journey ended and Lala had new Goblin troops, which defended her and respected Tussao as a sir.
After the journey Tussao did not become grim, but he still waits hopefully for this pure mount to come to him.

    Mathias smiled.
He watched as the sun set, sending a flaming panoply of brilliant color streaking across the evening sky. A slight breeze brought the crisp air rustling through the bows of stalwart trees, which stood tall, defiant, even in the face of the impending frosts. Softly, a single leaf descended from its heavenly perch, resting upon the pale flagstones, shining as bright as an emerald. Soon it would be followed by many others, much like itself.
"Where one goes, many will follow."
Mathias watched the breeze scoop up the leaf and dance it upon the road, carefree, carried by winds as old and wise as time itself.
His eyes grew dark as he studied the fluttering leaf, his mind quickly slipping to the crashing waves and rolling thunder of resentment, a thin line of hatred, cold as ice and sharp as steel, sliding between his thoughts. Centuries he had walked, forbidden to die by the Gods themselves, tasked to attain knowledge of all things attainable.
    Impossible.
    Inconceivable.
He frowned, his lips forming a thin line. Thoughts like these would get him nowhere. He had lived a lifetime, a thousand lifetimes, at least long enough to know that your anger, if left unchecked, could be deadlier than any poison.
He tilted his head up to the sky, where already the molten display of sunset color was fading, giving way to the dark of night. He breathed deeply, relaxing his mind, letting thoughts of better days come racing behind his eyes, a myriad of color; Ancient evils vanquished, friends made, alliances formed, and skills acquired. It was, after all, his task. No small thing.

He steeled himself, letting his mind travel to other things, a summer spent, the dawn of a new season, the road at his feet. He had far to travel till his night could end. His destination, an ageless inn, was shining brightly in the chilled night, its windows spilling welcoming light upon the quiet roads, its rooms awash with the warm glow of the hearth, men and women laughing merrily, raising their cups to the air in a salute to a summer well spent. A requiem for longer days and fairer nights. Still, Mathias had far to walk if he wished to revel in the wanton celebration of summers end, to spend summers last bittersweet days among friends.
Mathias shivered. Already the night grew cold, the sun now long lost behind the solemn mountains of the north. He pulled his cloak around his shoulders, took one long last look at the darkened sky, and walked on.
    His mind made them flee in shame;
    His eyes were of fire;
    His voice could turn the mightiest tame;
    His blood could inspire.

At the begginning i'm sorry for my english - i'm not from english speaking country so i will do my best without any dictionary. Proboably there will be a lot of grammar fails

    TRIP

It happened one day on summer holiday in 2010.
After watching TV we phoned and ordered a pizza.
Then we were eating it. Too bad for me that was a time to bed and i had to back to home.
When I was on my way to home, I heard some footsteps behind me.
I was frightened and started running.Footsteps was closer and closer then something caught my hood.
That was strange a bit but...i saw a woman with a bow, kind of pretty but cloths and other things looks like from the previous millenium.
She just yell her name to me - tinkerbella - strange cloth and yes ...name was strange too...
I was surprised but after all she just ask me for a trip. Not a normal trip ,she came from a foreign planet and want me to take her for a famous placec in my country.
I'm unemployed and a bit crazy so ... without any thinking i accpeted that
0Ohhh that was perfect one of the greatest holdays for me - for my tinker fiance too i guess .
We had a lot to "work" so we jusr ran to my house ,get some cloths and we were gone .
We didnt have so much time so i had to choose only some perfect places in Poland.
The first steps we made to mountains - at the south -far away from home but still great.
Zakopane this city love tourist and we had to go there. Tinkerbella saw old city and some small hills - she was to tired to see more
After the night in motel we went to Krakw. Wawel and whole the old buildings next to him was a really great place to make some photos, drink coffee and just walk.
Next stop we had in a city Częstochowa - not far away from a previous place - we had to go to one of the most beautiful - and old - monastery with many goods. His walls fend off Swedish Deluge "some" years ago.
From there we went to our capital city- Warszawa .
We were there 3 days - a lot to see
Our eyes didnt abandon such things like a palace of culture and sience ,royal palace, belweder, palace in wilanow, cementary"powiązki" - place with the greatest polish in history placed there, grave of unnamed soldiers - statue of all unnamed soldiers found or not in ww2.
After all that serious places we had some time to just drink and sign
We went to a lakes on Mazury. We meed a lot of funny and nice people which didnt even had problems for my strange companion.
We make a things - i can't describe all :P - which can be remmeber for whole life.
We end up in sea Bałtyk after that i had to leave pretty tinker and back to home.
All i have from this holdays is a kiss on my cheek i won't forget that moments hope my tinkerbella too .

    Again SORRY for my english
